You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14)
HR 3200, America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 has been amended in the House Energy and Commerce Committee to virtually assure you will pay for abortions with your tax dollars, something 71% of Americans oppose. The amendment results in elective abortions being part of the public plan of HR3200 and ensures federal funding of private plans that include elective abortion.
HR 3200 also offers end-of-life counseling that has implications of assisted suicide, which Californians have resoundingly rejected for the past 20 years. In a recent New York Post column, Betsy McCaughey, who is a former lieutenant governor of New York, a Democrat, and a health care expert wrote :
"One troubling provision of the House bill [HR 3200] compels seniors to submit to a counseling session every five years (and more often if they become sick or go into a nursing home) about alternatives for end-of-life care (House bill, p.425-430). The sessions cover highly sensitive matters such as whether to receive antibiotics and 'the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration'. This mandate invites abuse, and seniors could easily be pushed to refuse care."

Contact your US Senators and Representative and attend their town hall meetings. Urge them to OPPOSE HR 3200, which contains abortion, abortion funding and end-of-life counseling. Point out that HR 3200 victimizes the unborn child and sets a course toward the slippery slope of euthanasia.
